Here is our latest release on three:four records: the 20 minutes 4-track new contribution by :take:. And this is a first for us, it's a CD! We can already imagine the reactions of purists and/or crankies, but even if it's a tinier object, it's still a very remarkable one. The artwork created by Alexandra Huchet and Marine Augereau is terrific: a nice stretch between minimalism and psychedelic extravaganza. More importantly, the music, dreamy and dazzling, is simply out of this world. Last but not least, shipping costs are definitely cheaper for a CD than an LP.

Otherwise, another novelty for american customers. You can now order directly our releases on thrill-jockey website, right here.

Vacances !

Finally, summer is here! Before we all melt under the sun, here are our latest news.
First, the mini-album by [a" target="_new">:take:[/a" target="_new"> that was due to be released in late June has been postponed to August 23. You will have to wait a bit to listen to this disc.
Meanwhile, meridians, the collaboration between [a" target="_new">Scott Cortez[/a" target="_new"> and [a" target="_new">thisquietarmy[/a" target="_new"> is still available and highly recommended. In this regard, the excellent webzine textura called this album "something of an event" (check there).
We also received in return a few copies of Does your cat know my dog?, sold out for 3 months. For those who have not already, now's the time!
During the summer break we will work on the website to improve it and add some items. We are also working on promising projects, including a 100% swiss-made collaboration between Les Poissons Autistes, Bio and Larkian, and the third volume of our series of compilation and split which we will be unveiled around September. Until then, take good care and enjoy the summer!

Summer sun

June 15th, here we are ! If summer is not here yet, we have some good news, as today is the release date of meridians, the collaboration effort between [a" target="_new">Scott Cortez[/a" target="_new"> and [a" target="_new">thisquietarmy[/a" target="_new">! Above the high musical interest of this release, you may know that the record, composed and pressed to be played at 45 rpm, is also playable at 33 rpm to offer a darker and more mystical experience, that it is the very first vinyl release of [a" target="_new">thisquietarmy[/a" target="_new"> and [a" target="_new">Scott Cortez[/a" target="_new"> under his full name and that it is a limited edition of 499 copies.
We worked with a new pressing plant this time and the result could not be better. The records and artworks are awesome and this for a very reasonable price, since meridians is yours for 10 euros.

June 15th should also be the release date of [a" target="_new">:take:[/a" target="_new">'s CD EP, but we have some delays concerning the inlay. It will be available by the end of the month, but it worth the wait. We are extremely proud of this one too!

Lastly we updated our shipping costs due to the raise of swiss post' rates. Unfortunately we cannot do anything about his, excepting offering affordable prices for our releases.

New drones in June sky

After all the emotions we had following the release and the success of the Does Your Cat Know My Dog? compilation, and the release party at the [a" target="_new">Bad Bonn[/a" target="_new">, we needed to take a small break. Here we are again with two very tempting records that will be out before the summer.

First, a joint effort between Scott Cortez (from lovesliescrushing) and [a" target="_new">thisquietarmy[/a" target="_new">. Originally, we wanted to release this as part of our 10'' split series, but their enthusiasm for the project brought another concept that was worth trying. And we are actually releasing this as a 12'' vinyl. Be prepared to drown into two long drone pieces that can be played both at 45 rpm and 33 rpm, and to be charmed by the sublime cover. Release date: 15th of June 2010.

And then, our lovely adventure with [a" target="_new">:take:[/a" target="_new"> continues. After the 10'' split released last year, he's back with a radiant 20 minutes 4-track EP. The last step before his first album. Recorded in Paris with Laurent Bichara, and mastered in Chicago by Jeremy Lemos (from white/light), it will be available in CD format (which is a first for us) with a minimalist, but classy packaging. Release date: 15th of June 2010. To be continued !

Sold out !

Does Your Cat Know My Dog? is sold out here. Thanks for everyone who ordered directly from us. For the one who want it, you may find it on some mailorders or record shops worldwide. Or you can still buy the digital version for 5 euros directly [order" target="_new">here[/order" target="_new">.
We might also have some copies left for the 20th kilbi festival that will take place in Düdingen from may 27 to may 29. Once again the lineup is exciting, check it here !
