Silencio is a musical project created by Julien Demoulin in the early 2000's and presently based between Brussels, Belgium, and the north of France.
The project focuses mainly on ambient music and its different expressions; be they post-rock, field recording, or drone influenced. Mixing electronic and electroacoustic elements, it explores themes such as absence, distance, memory and sleep. After three album releases since 2004, Silencio joined the Swiss label three:four records in late 2011 to release "When I'm Gone" on CD & LP in early 2012.
Since the album's release, Silencio is composed of Julien Demoulin and Bernold Delgoda.
On stage, the duo illustrates its music with personal footage shot in the San Francisco Bay Area.

silencio - the politics of lonely

Both albums had a long gestation period - from 2006 to 2011 - are centered around Julien Demoulin and mainly Bernold Delgoda, a similar narration (an intro, five A side pieces, three on the B-side, the first of which lasting over 10 minutes in duration) and a refined visual identity.
